Account Deletion – FAQs

1. How can I delete my Tuktuk account?
Open the Tuktuk App, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Log in and authenticate using your registered mobile number or email.
- (Optional) Provide a reason for deletion.
- Tap Submit to confirm your request.
2. What happens after I request deletion?
- Your Tuktuk profile and related content (chats, call history, recordings, etc.) will become inaccessible to other users immediately.
- You will no longer be able to log in, send messages, or make calls.
- It may take up to 30 days to permanently erase your data from all systems, backups, and logs.
- During this time, residual or cached content may remain temporarily visible, but will no longer be linked to your profile.
3. Can I cancel my deletion request?
Yes. You may log in again within 30 days of submitting your deletion request to cancel it. After 30 days, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
4. Will any of my data be retained?
- We may retain limited information (such as transaction or payment records) for a reasonable period as required by law, audit, tax, or regulatory compliance.
- Aggregated, anonymised, or non-personal data may be retained for analytics and safety monitoring purposes.
5. Can I download my data before deletion?
During the deletion process, you may request a copy of your account data via the email address linked to your profile. A download link will be sent, valid for 7 days from the date of the email.
6. What about Coins, Credits, or Wallet Balance?
- Please use any remaining Coins or credits before requesting deletion.
- Once deletion is confirmed, any remaining balance will not be refunded or reinstated.
